The EAP is a free, confidential program that provides a professional support system for the faculty and staff of the university. Since its inception in 1995, it has assisted thousands of employees through professional, personal and family issues.

Sandy Lyall is the Director of the FSU EAP. She is an alum of Springfield College, Springfield, MA and State University of NY College at Fredonia. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP), and a National Board-Certified Counselor (NCC). Sandy has over 30 years of experience working in the fields of EAP, mental health, and disability management. Sandy’s most recent experiences include working at Mass General Brigham in Boston, MA and as the director of the EAP at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare.
Melissa Bolen

Melissa Bolen is the Clinical Coordinator of the FSU EAP. She is also an FSU alum and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP), and a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). Melissa has been with the FSU EAP since 2013 and previously worked in a residential treatment program.

Kyle Caswell is a counselor at the FSU Employee Assistance Program. As a native of Tallahassee, he is a TCC, FSU, and FAMU alum. Kyle has been with the FSU EAP since 2017 and previously worked at the Florida abuse registry and at a substance abuse treatment center. He is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP), and a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP).
